Contractual agreements for 2018 signed at ACSS
The signature of the contractual agreements with hospitals and local health units of the National Health System (NHS) for 2018 were signed at ACSS premises on 28 December. These contracts regulate the provision of healthcare in NHS providers and establish the financing mechanisms for these entities. The hospitals and local health units, integrated in the State Entrepreneurial sector, totalled 4.57 billion euros, + 3.2% more than in 2017.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health, Adalberto Campos Fernandes, and the Secretary of State for Health, Rosa Valente de Matos, the ACSS´s Executive Board, the five Regional Health Administrations and the presidents of several hospitals and local health units.
Among the results, it stands out the commitment to increase the programmed care activity and the access levels, as well as the quality and efficiency.
